Please note that all German FRITZ!Box editions are solely intended for use
in Germany, because these devices rely on the presence of Annex B and the
standard UR-2. Hence operation with an Annex A line is definitely not
possible. If, however, your DSL line is of type Annex B, there is a slight
chance the device may successfully synchronise. This, however, AVM cannot
guarantee.
Due to the above AVM also produces international editions of the
FRITZ!Boxes (either of type Annex A or Annex B). Please also note that
Annex A and Annex B devices differ in their hardware, so you cannot convert
an Annex B FRITZ!Box to an Annex A one.
For further information on the international editions please see
http://www.avm.de/en/Produkte/FRITZBox/index.html or contact our sales
department at info@avm.de.
If you actually have got an Annex B extension and the automatic DSL
synchronisation still does not work, please consult your DSL provider which
ATM parameters (VPI, VCI, encapsulation) are required. These settings can
be entered in the FRITZ!Box configuration under Internet > Zugangsdaten >
check option "ATM-Einstellungen manuell festlegen" and enter value
