(Depending on the system configuration DVR-MS files might not be fully supported)

Well I have a solution, it is Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5. It works !!! and well. It does however change the file type, but who cares I can edit 30 min tv shows in a matter of minutes, build a DVD and play it in my 7 year old DVD player.
Here is what I do to make DVDs
1. Use this DVRMSToolbox to convert the Media Center's file to mpeg.
2. Use VideoReDo to cut out the commercials.
3. Use DVD Author to make menus and create DVD files
4. If the files you created in step 3 are over the size of a DVD (4.7 GB), use DVD Shrink to compress the files.
5. Burn the image file to a DVD-R with Nero or Roxio.
B
Here's what I did instead:
1. Use VideoReDo to remove commerials and save as mpeg (about 10 minutes for 1.5 hour show)
2. Nero Vision to burn the dvd (8 minutes to transcode the file, 8 mintues to burn)
Now that's simple and I'm definitely buying a VideoReDo license. The Ad Detective worked flawlessly as well.
C
1) convert dvr-ms to MPEG using DVRMSToolBox
2) edit the MPEG to remove commercials and half time shows..etc, using TMPG DVD Author; then create video DVD files
3)use DVD Shrink to make it fit in one DVD disk
4) burn the video files to DVD disk using nero
E
1. Edit commercials and create mpeg with VideoRedo
2. Open, chapterize, menuize, burn DVD with Nero Vision 4 (if file is too big, I burn an image to disc and go to step 3.)
3. If needed, DVD Shrink and burn DVD.
