Knogler!
Fra : Peter Nicolaysen

Dato : 31-07-11 08:31

Titanium erstatning af knogler

Scanning af folk. resultatet proppet i et CAD program,
fodret ind i en "3d Printer" printet ud og sat ind i patienten!

(billigere end at have folk liggende paa hospitaler og plejehjem!)

Og teknologien er lavet i Sverige og allerede i brug til at lave turbinde blade,
til turbine motore!

------------------------------------

The EBM process was recently developed for manufacturing parts in gamma titanium aluminide, and is currently used
by Avio S.p.A. for the production of turbine blades in ?-TiAl for aero engines.

Arcam manufactures EBM (Electron Beam Melting) systems, which create parts from metal powders. The process uses standard biocompatible materials, such as Ti6Al4V ELI, Ti Grade 2 and Cobalt-Chrome. EBM is typically used in the medical, aerospace and automotive industries.

The parts are designed in a 3D CAD program or created from a CT scan of a patient. The CAD file is saved as an STL file which is used to prepare the job. The STL file is then sliced into an SLC file and transferred to the EBM system. The parts are built by melting metal powder layer-by-layer with the EBM process, and the result is functional metal parts, ready to be put into operation.
